Create and manage products, adjust inventory, and track stock changes in your Devdraft Product Store.

Introduction

The Product Store is your central hub for managing all products and services in your Devdraft application. Whether you're selling digital goods or physical inventory, this tool helps you stay organized, keep stock levels accurate, and maintain full visibility over your catalog.

In this guide, you'll learn how to:

  • Create a new product or service

  • Understand product statuses

  • Manage inventory and stock adjustments

  • Track detailed product history


Accessing the Product Store

Before using the Product Store, ensure your account is KYC-verified.

To access:

  1. Open your current Devdraft Application

  2. Navigate to Product Store from the left sidebar

  3. You’ll land on the product overview dashboard

This dashboard displays key metrics:

  • Total Products

  • Active Products

  • Archived Items

You’ll also see a full product catalog below the metrics.


Creating a New Product or Service

To add a new product:

  1. Click Add Product in the top right corner.

  2. A dialog will open with two tabs: Descriptions and Price & Metrics

Step 1: Fill in Descriptions

  • Name: Enter the product or service name

  • Description: Add a short description for internal and customer-facing use

  • Type: Choose between Product or Service

  • Image: Upload at least one image (click Upload or drag-and-drop)

Step 2: Set Price & Metrics

  • Price: Enter the unit price

  • Currency: Select your preferred currency

  • Weight Unit (for physical goods): e.g., grams, kilograms, etc.

  • Stock Count: Set your starting inventory amount

Click Add to save and publish the product.


Inventory Management

From the Product Store dashboard, you can:

  • View product details

  • Adjust stock levels

  • Archive or delete products

Adjusting Stock

You can manage inventory in two ways:

  • Adjust by Amount: Increase or decrease stock by a specific quantity

  • Set New Stock Count: Override the current amount with a new number

For every stock adjustment, you must:

  • Enter a reason for the change

  • View the before and after amounts for transparency

  • All changes are logged automatically


Viewing Product Details and History

Click View Details on any product to open the product profile.

Here you'll find:

  • Full product information

  • A Stock Adjustment History table that includes:

    • Date of adjustment

    • Old and new stock levels

    • Net change

    • User who made the change

    • Reason for the update

This ensures complete traceability for all inventory activity.
